Richard Schori ‘60

Going through our Alumni Updates archive, we found an update we haven’t published yet. Brother Schori submitted his update to us a few months ago and we’re glad to hear he’s doing well! He writes:

“I retired in 2001 from Oregon State University as a professor of mathematics and lived for 15 years in Henderson, NV. We moved during 2016 to 8631 Eagle Chase Trail, Reno, NV 89523. In August of 2016, I had major lower back surgery but the healing went well and I’m back to playing tennis.

My wife Katharine Jefferts Schori finished her 9 year term as the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church on November 1, 2015. She still receives invitations for talks and visitations from churches, diocese, and universities but those invitations are slowing down.

We have a married daughter Kate in Corvallis, OR, including our two grandchildren. Kate spent 10 years as an AF pilot but decided she was more interested in raising children than continuing an AF career. Life is good.”
