Kenyon College Delays Commencement

In the face of COVID-19, Kenyon has decided to postpone its 192nd Commencement ceremony, originally scheduled for May 16, 2020. The University has stated that while they “…recognize the importance of ritual in marking life transitions and tradition in strengthening the fabric of community, planning for a large scale event in May would be both impossible and irresponsible”.

Kenyon is actively working with the senior class on a plan to announce degrees from afar sometime around the start of summer. They have also continued to attempt to make plans to celebrate Commencement on campus at an as yet undetermined later date. There is currently a plan to celebrate the graduating seniors on Friday, May 29, at 7 P.M. EDT. To read more about these plans, click HERE.

In the meantime, the university has closed registration for new reservations and will continue to honor cancellations and issue refunds.
