A Farewell from Jeff Moritz ’86

Brothers,

As was announced this spring, I am stepping down as president of our alumni association on September 30.  I have truly enjoyed my 30 years working to keep Delta Tau Delta at Kenyon an important part of the Kenyon Experience.  I have gotten to know so many of you over the years, beginning as undergraduate members to alumni decades out of school.  Many of you hold our Lodge as a special place in your lives and being the primary caretaker has brought me much joy.  While I could not have done this job for so long without the financial support of our alumni, I am very grateful to Chuck Pariano, Byron Horn and Don Gest who have played an important role in the alumni association over the years.

I am a strong supporter of our fraternity because I firmly believe that being a part of Delta Tau Delta teaches young men many lifelong skills such as leadership and teamwork and builds lifelong friendships. We should all be proud to say we are associated with Chi Chapter.

I am turning the reins over to a new board of 25 alumni and a strong set of new officers.  Chi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta has been on campus for over 142 years, and I hope that it will continue for many more generations of Kenyon men.

Thank you,

Jeff Moritz ’86
