My Expected Outputs/Goals:
1) Produce a paper about Entanglement and Sharability
2) Continue research into next year as an Honors Project
3) Write my honors thesis on my research
How Will This Program Play in My Long-term Career Plan (Optional):
This research will give me a leg up when applying for graduate schools. I am working with Benjamin Schumacher who is a well respected physicist in this field.

1) Develop a methodology for a novel reaction in organic chemistry
My Expected Outputs/Goals:
1) Synthesize a wide array of chemical compounds capable of participating in the novel reaction
2) Explore the scope and limitations of this reaction using the developed substrates
3) Lay the groundwork for a publication in a chemical journal.
How Will This Program Play in My Long-term Career Plan (Optional):
I plan to attend a research oriented medical school. This type of hands-on and intellectually demanding work is an excellent preparation for a career in medicine and medicinal research.

1) Stroke correction '1 on 1' for kids looking to improve their swimming ability
2) Coaching the club swim team
3) Coordinating weekly swim carnivals against rival programs
My Expected Outputs/Goals:
1) Make some money so that I can return home to New Zealand
2) Foster close relationships with families who are members at the Druid Hill Country club
3) Have fun and enjoy the beautiful Georgian weather!!!

Your Position: Summer Intern covering four different areas: Research, Institutional Sales & Trading, and Corporate Finance. Will take part in the 2 week analyst training program.
My Main Responsibilities (Please prioritize):
Research: Researching public companies, writing reports, and collaborating on business models
Sales: Working alongside an institutional equity sales broker, sitting in on meetings with asset management companies (the client) and Stephens Inc. analysts. Business trips to New York, Baltimore, and Philadelphia to meet with clients.
Trading: Learning and observing the trading of stocks and bonds on the trading floor during stock market hours.
Corporate Finance: Reading and gathering data from 10-K and 10-Q reports, creating trade and valuation tables, capital tables. Analyzing companies' financial statements and balance sheets. Extensive work with excel, creating financial tables and graphs used in evaluating companies. Learning about investment banking. May include business trips.
My Expected Outputs/Goals:
1) Attain a broader understanding and become more familiar with the stock market
2) Gain knowledge to analyze the financial decisions made by corporations while learning to manage the financial risks of a firm
3) Develop the knowledge and skills needed in order to become a smart investor
How Will This Program Play in Your Long-term Career Plan (Optional):
Will help acquire the experience needed for investment-related business, by helping develop a better understanding of the business world and gaining work experience from the unpredictable nature of the stock market.
